I can see the sliders. Maybe you have to tune your monitor settings, it might be too dark. Created attachment 24965 [details]

Hi all, This problem is non relevant of code, but digiKam color scheme theme (XML files) and can be fixed by a non-developper. Any volumnters to adjust colors from "Dark" theme ? Gilles Caulier I can see the sliders. Maybe you have to tune your monitor settings, it might be too dark. Chris, your screenshot looks strange, it doesn't seem to be a monitor problem. Have you tried the "dessert" theme? Maybe something else is wrong. I'll attach a screenshot with the latest digiKam using the "dark" theme, it looks different on my computer. Andi, The dessert theme looks fine on my system. I'm running under gnome - that might be a clue. I tried cycling through all of the system level themes and it had no effect on the way the dark theme on digikam presented. I use KDE so I can not reproduce this right now, maybe I will install Gnome or XFCE later to look if I face the same problem. I installed Gnome and removed KDE, but I can still see the scrollbars. I can not confirm this... maybe someone else can reproduce this. Can you send my your Dark theme? Find out where your KDE installation is located (on my system it is /opt/kde) and attach the file "Dark" from <your-path-to-KDE>/share/apps/digikam/themes to this bugreport. Maybe something is wrong with your version. Although I'm not sure why this could have happened. Yesterday I installed beta5 on openSUSE to test some compiling issues. I just checked this version, and the dark theme is also broken here. So I guess something went wrong during packaging, because the theme appears to be normal in the SVN version. I'll check if there are any significant chances. Chris, you don't have to attach the theme any more, I will use the one from the official tarball. OK, I checked openSUSE again, the style for Qt is set to "Plastik", and this seems to be the problem. I'm using "Polyester" and the dark theme works fine, but when I switch my system to "Plastik", the scrollbars are gone. Every other style I checked works fine, only "Plastik" seems to do strange things with the dark theme (and only this theme). So if you are using Gnome, try to set the default Qt style to something else, maybe "Keramik" or so. Sure this is not a satisfying solution, but I don't know what to do right now. It is definitely the easiest way to get your scrollbars back. I will close this one because it has nothing to do with the dark theme directly. It is a problem of the installed Qt engine (Plastik) and not reproducible with other engines. |
