While changing the icon theme, KDE crashed and I got back to KDM. After logging in again, any K-Menu/Kickoff icon placed on the panel or the Desktop got darker on mouseover whereas it became brighter before the crash.

This doesn't happen every time you change the icon theme, so you might have to try it a few times to reproduce the bug.
