For those who have a rather long list of folders, having all the ones with unread mail visible at a glance would be very nice. Therefore the favorites box could be configured with a check to dynamically include all such folders.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.

I can't confirm as I had to stop using kmail 2 after it lost a huge amount of email.
I wish I could be more helpful but right now I have no way to tell if this feature would still make a fine addition to kmail or not.
