Description Andres Riofrio 2008-05-20 06:10:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I usually have my desktop/dashboard widgets locked so that I don't mess them up unintentionally. But when I press Ctrl-F12 to see the dashboard, there is no way to unlock them. I have to press Ctrl-F12 again and go to an empty desktop (I have 12 desktops :O) to unlock it.

I don't know if this was a design decision or otherwise done intentionally, but I feel this would make it easier to use the dashboard, as having the widgets locked also make the Add Widget button/menu item dissapear, making it virtually impossible for me to edit something using the dashboard.

Although it is already in the title, I'll write it here anyways: what I suggest is to add the lock/unlock button to the "menu" that appears on the top-right.

I forgot to say that I was gonna suggest adding the right-click menu to the dashboard, but this was already suggested at <https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160311>.
