Version: Unbekannt (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (hardy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu7.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-17-generic

I do not know if you accept application wishes here. I found no better place. I would like to see a transcription software for KDE. There are some for Linux, not bad.
Transcriber http://trans.sourceforge.net/en/presentation.php (GPL2, Tcl/Tk, doesn not seem to be in active development)
Express Scribe http://www.nch.com.au/scribe/index.html (Free as in beer)

I googled around, but could not find any which is KDE-based. Since KDE-integrated software allways looks and works much better, it would be nice to have one. People working in social sciences often needs that. A friend of mine just switched back to Windows, because she could not find a reliable transcription solution on Linux. That's why I started looking myself, I will need this for my thesis myself.

You might post this in the KDE Brainstorm forum https://forum.kde.org/viewforum.php?f=83&sid=b073672a3398a6840d8b055cc76936be - feel free to also code something up and submit it for KDE support.

I'm closing this as WONTFIX - pretty removed from the KDE apps and doubt anyone will pick it up from here.
