It also seems to be drawing different layers, as when you move a widget from the left side to try to move it onto the right, it goes under the background etc. Created attachment 24778 [details]
The screen as it draws when using 1280X1024
This shows the proper workspace at 1280X1024
I should also say that this is a change of resolution while x is not running, it is shutting down at 1280X1024 and then starting back up at 1680X1050 Created attachment 24779 [details]
The desktop after startup at 1680X1050 with broken workspace
This what it looks like after it starts up at 1680 X 1050
I had to convert the PNG to JPEG due to size, tell me if it is not clear.
I would like to add that I am experiencing the exact same problem as Ayden on the Dell D830 as well under Kubuntu 8.04 on 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. On setting resolution back to the laptops native 1680x1024, kde draws the taskbar and resolution correctly as it should with the background wallpaper and the widget layer being the only noticeable difference (that I have noticed). I am running compiz and all features work perfectly except for this one annoyance. Scott Barlow. this works properly in 4.1 now. |
