Version:            (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

In Konqueror, Gwenview, etc., previews are not generated for certain EPS files.  I assume, therefore, that this is a problem with kimgio.  I will attach a EPS file which triggers this bug.

The BSD file command reports the following information for this file:
001.EPS: DOS EPS Binary File Postscript starts at byte 5874 length 92242 TIFF
starts at byte 30 length 5844

I tried renaming the file from 001.EPS to 001.eps and the preview displayed in Konqueror.  Is it standard for KDE to ignore uppercase file extensions?

This is therefore a duplicate of Bug 161788.
