Version:           KDE 4.0.4 but kde 4.0.3 is written in "about" (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources
OS:                Linux

I have updated my kde 4.0.3 to kde 4.0.4 today. but if i click help->about kde in any application, there is "kde 4.0.3" written. I dont know if it's connected somehow, but kopete started to crash when i close a chat window. always! here is output from the crash handler:

Can you provide more infos about your system (distribution, how you updated). Maybe only some of the packages are updated yet and the others still missing?

i have kubuntu 8.04 kde4 remix, and i have updated in that way:
http://kubuntu.org/announcements/kde-4.0.4.php (see instructions)
i have downloaded more than 90 packages, and version for all of them were 4.0.4

I can confirm this.
It only happens when tabs are enabled.
