Upon enabling the tray icon, to minimize Konversation to the system tray, you have to click the window close button, which is the one with the "x". Clicking the minimize button minimizes the window to the taskbar instead. This is the default KDE system tray mechanic. The system tray implementation in KDE 4.0.3 may also be broken, which we have no influence over. I believe its more likely the system tray is broken. Closing windows etc. does not force the required programs to go into systray. It's quite possible. The KDE 4 system tray applet has always been flakey in KDE 4, and breaks every couple of weeks in SVN trunk. I'm not sure how that passed a stable release. Any idea when its going to be stable. This is a crazy bug! Nope, sorry :(. There's a 4.0.4 coming this month, and 4.1 in July. |
