Version:           1.0.2 (using 4.0.3 (KDE 4.0.3) "release 17.4", compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

Use some samba url like

smb://myserver/share/folder1

and try do drag/drop any folder to the left side bar (Places). It just do nothing. It works with local paths.

Same of bug 157283?

I assume it's the same issue as bug 157283 and have set it to duplicated; I'll add a note to 157283 so that I don't forget to verify the fix also with SMB.
