Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-04-16 16:17:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

The idea of access key is great and it well proved its usefulness -- it would be great if it would be extended even further. I think that next step -- providing this in common dialogs, like open file dialog -- would be very valuable and increase productivity.

PS. I have in mind especially:
quick access buttons
location
directory content

All of them are available only via focus switching which is time consuming.

For widgets that already have accelerator key defined access key should display exactly the same key. So it would work a bit like magnifier -- another advantage for vision impaired people (but not only of course).

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
