A "Run/Open as user..."-command in the right-mouse-menu would be very nice. Users would then be able to
start programs or open documents without using the "Run..." dialog.

Perhaps it would be an idea to integrate these desktop files in the konqueror package, a "run as root", and "browse as root" service menu item found at kde-look.org:

If you are logged as normal user and want to run e.g. an application installer
as root, right now you can help yourself by selecting "Open with"->"Other" from
the RMB menu and then typing "kdesu"

Yves is right, but most of users doesn't know what kdesu is.
A service menu could be useful. This could be added even on the new KDE4.

This could solve the old bug #5522 too.
