Reproduction of bug
KCalc version 2.3 KDE 4.1.3 Debian/Experimental. Now the behaviour has changed, that is true. However, it is not yet good to use. Now when input is too long the application will not resize automatically, that is true, but all the numbers in the input will go outside the border of the calculator so you will not be able to see the numbers typed first. A screenshot is attached. There was 28 numbers, shown only part. What should be the best solution? A "scrollable" display, or limit user input, or both? Both, I think. Because "unlimited" input is not needed in simple applications, however it is not bad if input is bigger than actual field, as long as information can be reached using cursor keys, Home and End. Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. Current input display doesn't trigger resize, can be closed per https://invent.kde.org/utilities/kcalc/-/merge_requests/67 |
