Description Gerald Cox 2008-04-13 01:15:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

I wanted to change the "Fedora Bluecurve" application launcher that was default, to the KDE default.

Using Appearance - System Settings - Icons menu to change settings does not implement change when "apply" button is pressed. To implement the change I had to first delete the $home/.kde/cache-localhost.localdomain/kpc directory - then select the desired icon theme from the menu, then apply. I would receive a message that it was being applied, but no change occurred. I then moved my cursor over the "Application Launcher" on the panel and then the change would occur... sometimes... usually, sometimes I needed to repeat the above procedure several times for the change to take.

I can confirm (using kde-4.0.3)
Comment 2 Sebastian Sauer 2008-04-13 02:57:15 UTC
fixed in trunk with r792608. Cause of bug #160284 I am not sure if a backport would be wise :-/

closing bugs when you fix them is a good idea =)
