sRGB Profile attached
In case you were wondering about the sRGB profile that I manually select when
attempting to do the conversion with Showfoto, and gives wrong results. It is
digikam's own .icm file.
In any case, the profile is not the point. The point is how difficult is to get
the image back in 8bits / sRGB for display on the web with non-color-managed
browsers.
Well, it is similar indeed, only showfoto doesn't have an image menu. Also the bit-depth part of the "target image format" for the conversion is not addressed. Also I'd like to know what I am doing wrong when trying to assign the srgb profile manually, or whether there's a bug there. Cheers Marcel, Sound like it's implemented in digiKam 1.0.0. Right ? Gilles Caulier Yes, we have the menu to easily convert color profile. We also have a menu to convert to 8bit. We dont have the combination of e.g. "8-bit and sRGB" in one action. Thanks, i close this entry. Gilles Caulier |
