no, it doesn't belong in the panel. it doesn't really belong in the desktop either, but the desktop settings is actually an intermediate step towards a proper plasma config panel. It really does not belong to the panel, I just said that users might be angry that they cannot change panel color because they look for it in the panel settings. A unified Plasma settings panel would really be a solution. I would look for it in the panel, just like I would look to change the wallpaper by right clicking on the desktop. When I change settings on a widget/plasmoid, I right click on it. When I want to change an object, by nature, I click on it. |
