The state of the View hidden files option is not carried over between the first group (Icon, MultiColumn) and second group (Tree, Info List, Detailed List, Text) of views, but retains its state within each group.

Image View doesn't appear to be able to display hidden files at all. It doesn't use the setting from any of the other views, and the menu option is not present while the view is active. It does retain the shortcut keys from Icon and MultiColumn views, but the shortcut I added for Show hidden files doesn't work.

konqueror now uses dolphinpart to display the file management stuff, so in kde4 the issue is non-existent. sadly there are many bugs and few time, so this one cant be fixed in kde3. 
i will close it as later
