The bouncer is within a cube and the cube has a white background. Looks pretty ugly.

I'm a little surprised your asking me for this basic information, I suppose you don't know what the bouncer is.

When I open an application a little "bouncing" icon appears, for firefox it's the fox wrapped around the world icon. It bounces up and down beside the mouse cursor.

When using Xrender the bouncing icon is contained within a white cube, whereas normally the bouncer is just the icon bouncing, no cube around it.
