Description Mary Ellen Foster 2008-03-29 23:02:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc 4.3
OS: Linux

If I move the KDE panel to other parts of the screen (top/left/right), the icons
on the screen don't move to accommodate it, so the panel overlaps them. In the
default Fedora KDE live image, this includes the "install" icon and the top left and the
plasma thingy in the top right.

I'll attach a screenshot of the panel on top of an icon in a second.

KDE panel overlapping Install icon

This is the top-left corner of my screen with a panel located at the top. White

wallpaper is due to a different bug. Note the traces of the desktop shortcut
covered by the panel.

I can confirm this with the Ubuntu 4.0.2 packages. Too bad this wasn't caught earlier or we could have had a better chance at this being fixed in 4.0.3.

I guess this is a duplicate of bug 156384 -- could someone mark it as such?
