Version:           1.0.99 (using 4.00.66 (KDE 4.0.66 >= 20080313), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

i set an icon for a folder in a .desktop file. when the image file containing the custom icon is changed, the icon is not updated. in order to update the icon, i need to touch the .desktop file. when i zoom in or out so that a new icon size is used this new size of icon is correct, but when i zoom back to the original level, also the original (and now incorrect) icon is used. the thumbnailer should check the source image for modifications.

weird...
now one icon won't update at all any more.
i was putting custom icons on some folders in my movie collection, so saved some coverart in png format an created .desktop files. apparently the thumbnailer doesnt keep the image proportions (which is strange, i think it should), so i modified the images, but only when a new size of icon is requested, will the thumnailer create a new cached icon, so depending on zoom level now i have some good and some incorrect icons. when i resave the .desktop file for 3 out of 4 of the folders this solves the problem, but for one folder, nothing helps, the incorrect icon stay cached. even deleting and then restoring the image doesnt help.

This might be fixed in Plasma 5.
