Version:           0.50.1 (using 4.0.2 (KDE 4.0.2) "release 17.2", compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

go to options and try to change "connect at startup" (I don't know whats the exact english version) and then when You click 'Apply' or 'OK' kopete crashes

I can't reproduce this and the backtrace doesn't contain any information (debug symbols are missing).
Does the crash still occur with the latest version? If yes, can you recompile KDE with debug symbols and generate another backtrace?
