Thanks for the report - I just tried to reproduce it but it works well here (I did an update of SVN around 21:00 [21.3.2008]). I clicked 'Properties' on a folder and selected a different icon. Afterwards I dragged the folder into the places view and the icon was there as well. Do I miss something? I can swear that the same steps which you described will result in this bug for me. :) But if it works for you straight from svn then I will mark it as resolved. It is probably fault somewhere on my site. Greetings and thanks for feedback. OK, thanks :-) What's quite cool: if you change the icon of a folder which is already in the sidebar, the icon will be changed in the sidebar too (I did not expect this - kudos to Kevin Ottens who implemented the sidebar). Reopening. Now tested with KDE4.1RC1 openSUSE packages. Still when I drag and drop folder with specific icon to Places panel this custom icon folder will be lost. Furthermore Places panel works as expected when I use 'Add to Places" action, it won't work only with drag&drop Tested also on fresh KDE config. screenshot: http://tnij.org/dolphinplaces Issue confirmed... *** Bug 167999 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 176314 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Confirmed in kde 4.2 beta1 Closing, bug not present from what I have tested with SVN of today, 4.3 (trunk). |
