Wouldn't it be good to have Kplato and Korganizer share database so that tasks in kplato show up in korganizer?

KPlato has been succeeded by Calligra Plan.

That won't happen. korganizer doesn't have any database to share.

Calligra plan can create interfaces to access data from the Akonadi calendar resources. (currently, there's only some (disabled) code to access the contacts resource).
