Version:           0.12.7 (using 3.5.9 "release 53.2" , openSUSE )
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.23.14-default

When a new mail comes in, a dialog pops open with only two choices: "check mail" and "cancel"... If you click cancel, it disables all future mail notifications.... this is not the desired function as you don't always want to check your mail...

I don't get any mail notifications when I receive an email on my yahoo-account. I'm using KDE version 4.0.99 with kopete 0.50.80.

In KDE 4.2.1 I also don't et mail notification on my Yahoo! account. Is this feature still not implemented in "Kopete4" or is there a bug that prevents it from working?

I have done a similar bug report,
1) start kopete & turn on mail notifications
2) go online with a yahoo ID
3) Wait for a email to arrive to yahoo mail account ( can be verifed by using a browser window - without opening the mail)
4) Kopete fails to notify of the new mail

email notifications have been fixed for KDE 4.4
