*** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** the notification is an issue with the new version. i want (like before) only ONE bubble for each user, when the chat window is CLOSED. Not every new message producing an notification window (with sometimes also only disappeares with a click), summary = only a bubble, if a contact wrote, that doesn't have already a chatwindow somewhere. *** Bug 166049 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 26494 [details]

Bug 167446 is somehow related, but additionally says, that no message-notification should appear, if a chat-window with that contact is already open (in background). The same bug in kubuntu 8.10 alpha, kopete 0.60.1, kde 4.1.1, notification popup window is in the top of the screen I confirm this. Please fix at the earliest. This should no longer be a problem in KDE 4.2. Most of the notification dialog code has been rewritten, and I can't reproduce it anymore. Passive notifications now always show up right next to the system tray. Thank you! :) when using kopete trunk in kde-3, the position is still at the top of the screen. (i really can't use kde4/qt4 because of my graphics card) |
