Version:           3.5.8-0ubuntu2 (using KDE 3.5.8)

I'm using ctrl-enter to send a message so I can use Enter to write multi-lines messages.

If using rich text and writing a message using Jabber, I have two problems:

* newlines are not sent and the user receives everything on the same line

* formatting does not work fine: for example I'm unable to put just one word in italic inside a sentence. Rich text received from a gaim user works fine tough.

Kopete version is 0.12.7.

I've tried this with version 0.50.80 (KDE 4.0.85 (KDE 4.1 >= 20080703)).
Rich text doesn't seem to be implemented on this version yet.

Should be fixed in KDE 4.3 and later.
