Description Thomas Reitelbach 2008-03-16 00:55:31 UTC
Version: 1.4.8 (using 3.5.9 "release 53.2" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.9-default

Today I edited many Meta tags in my collection. I used the normal metatag editor from within amarok 1.4.8 to do this.
Afterwards I found that many of my files are not playable anymore, they are corrupt.

This does only happen to OGG files, mp3's are OK.

Can someone please verify? The files are really destroyed.
What information do you need from me to reproduce? I don't want to destroy more files.

Hm, after some more investigation it seems that even ogg files that don't have been modified are no longer playable by amarok.

Thus I believe that my files are not destroyed but instead amarok is no longer able to play ogg files for some reason. I used suse-update recently, probably some lib got updated which causes this problem.

Sorry for the noise,

Sorry for all the noise, folks.
ogg123 is perfectly able to play my ogg files. Some library is broken, but it's not amaroks fault, because mplayer and xine have the same problem.

Thus i close this bug.
