Confirmed w/ svn revision 823139. The reporter is referring to the cursor in the URL input box. While it is there at the beginning, it disappears when you start to type. It then reappears when you click the URL input box with a mouse. Having "http:" at the beginning also seems to bring it back. Using KDE 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0) (KDEmod) in ArchLinux i686: I can confirm this bug. When you click in the location bar, the cursor starts to blink. If you type something the combobox menu will show up (if you type "aa" in the combobox menu will appear something like "http://aa") and the cursor will disappear. If you press the left arrow key, the cursor will move (but it isn't displayed yet) , so you don't know at where position do you are. If the combobox menu is closed, the cursor will reappear in the location bar. As reported in comment 1 , the cursor won't dissappear when you type something with ":" at first (like "http:" , "ftp:" , or simply ":" ). While you type, for example "aaa:bbbb", the cursor will hide until you type ":" and the cursor will reappear. I don't know if this is the default behaviour of a "feature". I can also reproduce this behaviour using: Version 4.1.62 (KDE 4.1.62 (KDE 4.2 >= 20080814)) kdelibs4.2 svn rev.849324 kdebase4.2 svn rev.849337 ArchLinux 2.6.25-zen2-20080814 i686 This looks like a duplicate. Feel free to reopen if I'm wrong! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 151753 *** |
