Version:           1.9.6 (enterprise 20070904.708012) (using 3.5.9 "release 51.2" , openSUSE )
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.9-0.4-default

Attachments sent from KMail with SMTP (no encryption, CRAM-MD5) from a GMX-Account are broken. The size is correct, but the files seem to be corrupt, and cannot be opened anymore.

It worked before and is broken since a few days. I think, GMX has changed something in SMTP-Handling.

I am not shure, if this is a bug of KMail:

- Sending same attachments from other Mail-Clients with same settings works
- Sending same attachments from another provider with kmail works
- Sending same attachments from GMX-Web-Interface works

No matter, if this is a bug of KMail or GMX: anyone else has the same problems?

but why does sending attachments work with other providers for me? and why did it work some days ago with the same kmail-version? now it does not even work with kdepim-3.5.7 anymore.

Oh, I didn't read closely enough, this seems to be different indeed.
I don't know why your attachments are corrupted. I have GMX too and it works fine.
