I suppose this should be marked as wish. *** Bug 170202 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This is not a wish, it is a very bad *regression*. Togeather with other problems with the file dialog (the missing ability to restore the user configuration correctly and the too wide area used for preview) it makes it VERY hard to use KDE 4. Here using: Qt: 4.4.3 KDE: 4.1.85 (KDE 4.1.85 (KDE 4.2 Beta2)) kdelibs svn rev. 899634 / kdebase svn rev. 899635 on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.8 The file dialogs shows a tooltip for the files which their filename is too long to be seen in the Name column (or if their name is cropped in the Icon View). Can anyone else confirm this ? Thanks :) I can confirm that :-) Next, we need a view that can actually display the filenames, within reasonable lenghts ;) Marking this as FIXED, as the original bug can't be reproduced Bug 169209 remains open (Can't see the whole filename if it's too long) |
