When opening Okular or opening a file (pdf) with okular, the window always pops up at a small size (approx. 1/8 of the max screen size 1920x1200)

IMHO, it should open in such way that it shows the full document at a full size.

Ok, meanwhile, I can give further detail to the bug. 

1. it also happens in OpenSuses Development-Branch (with Okular 0.6.80)
2.. The small size only appears using okular after okular was maximized. When having englarged okular to some extent (but not having maximized okular), the previous size is saved.
3. more specific: when using okular vertikally maximized, the vertikal size is reset to the small size, but not after using okular horizonally maximized.

As you seem to describe further the issue, it would seem the same as bug #137108.
