Description Oscar 2008-03-10 22:44:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

In KDE3 the battery applet would put the laptop into suspend/hibernate/shutdown (or whatever you configured) when the lid was closed. This is no longer the case. For us laptop users this is a very good feature that would be nice to have back.

Uh. Is it really the widget's job to do it? As far as I know, this should be a task for Solid. :)
Comment 2 Oscar 2008-03-11 06:34:42 UTC
Can't say. I only report a feature that was there in KDE3 (attached to the battery widget) that isn't there anymore. Feel free to transfer or do whatever necessary with this bugreport so that the request end up in the right place.

I think this is implemented in powerdevil, so this bug should be closed...
Comment 4 FiNeX 2008-11-05 23:46:32 UTC
I agree with Cyrill. Being implemented in another plasmoid, the bug could be closed.

powerdevil now offers this functionality. 4.2.0 material
