I want to see if a contact on mine is on invisible status.
shmessenger(a java, mobile messenger appplication) has a 'spy' menu item that shows if an offline appearing contact is on invisible mode. 
the www.xeeber.com is a website where you enter the yahoo id and it tells if the contact is on invisible.

It would be nice if kopete would have such an option and also the ability to set a repeated spy action for a contact(every minute, user selectable interval).

This goes completely against privacy. Programs that have a "spy" feature should be ashamed of having it. I hope ICQ finds a way to prevent this feature to be possible.

Needless to say, I hope it's never implemented in Kopete.
