In KDE 3 when I went to the media-KIOslave I could find my nfs mounts (listed in fstab with noauto) and just click on them to mount them. In KDE 4 maybe all network-based items in fstab could be added to remote:/ or maybe a special subfolder under remote:/

This concerns kio's remote:/ ioslave.
