In KDE3 one could activate thumbnails in the file dialog. Which is much more useful than the preview pane.

As this is an iconview, and should behave like dolphin, this absence of feature also introduces a bit of inconsistency.

I also think the thumbnails should be on by default.

I worked on this feature some time ago, there are some messages in kde-core-devel maling list. With the job, exams and others i've not finished it yet. Some people suggested me to finish it for kde4.1, but it has not been possible. I had an implementation of this working...but not ready to be commited.

If no other one is going to do this, i promised i'd finish it so...
