downloaded images for screensaver, they worked fine for a minute then the crash ...now when I right-click to change the background it wont do anything,I have a empty background.

i have no idea what to make of this, given that the background and the screen saver have little in common. maybe a bug in the qt/kde image loader. maybe a bug in knewstuff (how would that have any effect beyond downloading?). does the problem persist with kde 4.0.3?

Mike: please can you confirm if you are still having this bug. I have not been able to reproduce it on svn trunk r815578, but since the explanation is not very clear, I might not have been looking for the right thing.

I can't reproduce this in recent (<24hrs) SVN.  Closing as WORKSFORME since no further information has been forthcoming.
