With xinerama and a panel on the right hand edge of xinerama screen 1 (counting from 0), the workspace on screen 1 is not set correctly, so maximising a window causes the panel to overlap its right hand edge.  

This doesn't happen with other panel placements or with the panel on screen 0.

bug #176668 deals with the same issue and contains some more details. So, let's go the (unusual) way to mark the older report as dup of the newer one :)
