I was able to confirm this with both the Kubuntu packages and my trunk checkout. Ctrl+F8 to activate desktop grid, then drag an open window to another desktop causes this issue.

When I drag an application across a desktop border to another desktop in a KDE4 session, its taskbar entry disappears temporarily; I have to switch to another desktop, and back, to get the entry to reappear.

(specs removed due to them not being an issue)
