Your system is probably misconfigured. Either Konqueror does not work correctly or the mimetype settings are wrong. KMail just uses the general "KRun" function to start external apps for URL links. It is highly unlikely that this is a problem with KMail. Your mimetype settings can be found by starting "kcmshell filetypes" Opsss, the problem occurs after installing the KDE4 packages in Kubuntu Gutsy. After it when I run "kopete" it's open Kopete-kde4 (while it should be open just if I run "/usr/lib/kde4/bin/kopete"). Also if I press a url link in Kmail I see the konqueror-kde4 small icon jumping (but nothing occurs). After unistalling Konqueror-kde4 the problem dissapears.
