To reproduce: 

Move a plasma applet so that some is on one display and some on another display, move it backwards and forwards in this position a few times and the section on one display will dissappear and stay hidden.

If you then zoom out it will display the cut off applet twice:

I have the issue here too... but : it works if my mouse cursor is on the destination screen while dragging. Don't know if that's clear :)

each screen has its own view and containment. they are not intended to be contiguous.
