Description Robert Lugg 2008-02-11 23:39:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: MS Windows Binaries

Some applications won't start. Double-clicking on 'blinken.exe' results in an error. Umbrello starts, but help is not available. The error messages are similar indicating libpcre.dll was not found.

I suspect this problem is with a dependency determination in the installer. I looked through the available packages and saw pcre-mingw. After installing that, things started working a lot better.

As a side note, during the install of various packages, I was prompted that a site could not be contacted. I selected 'Retry' and progress continued as normal.

What version of the installer? 0.8.5 or 0.9.0beta?
Comment 2 Christian Ehrlicher 2008-02-12 09:33:59 UTC
ok, found the problem - pcre is not correctly added in our config.txt
Comment 3 Ralf Habacker 2008-02-12 12:12:34 UTC
the dependency issue is now fixed.
