just an idea: playing with taskbar for a while, i find that when there are not-much windows open (say, <10) it would be more comfortable to have desktop-icon-size (like 64x64, 2row title text) items in taskbar, gradually reducing their sizes with more windows open, for example, untill they become 16x16, 1row title text, filling 2/3 of screen height, and when the fill whole screen, only then start scrolling. *** Bug 158657 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** in svn it no longer has a second column in vertical panels, however i keep it open because it still needs: -a less huge size when tere are only few items -some kind of scrolling when there are too many tasks (at the moment they get hidden) the last one seems a little bit more tricky I'd first like to thank the Plasma guys for all the work they've put in. I've already adopted KDE4 as my default. :) I do miss a useful vertical taskbar, though. Sebastian tells me that the only other annoyance I had with panel behaviour (163630) will be ready for KDE4.2. Once again, keep up the good work. -Fry- |
