Description Kenneth Vetter 2008-02-10 20:52:29 UTC
Version: 3.5.6 (using 3.5.8 "release 44.1" , openSUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.16-0.2-default

Edit Categories Dialog box default displays 5 categoties:
   Business
   Customer
   Family
   Friend
   School
Clicking the "ADD" button adds [New category]to the default 5.

However, when you rename [New category] to anything else and try to apply it, it reverts to [New category]

Then the only thing left to do is click the "remove" button and remove the Newly created [New category].

Please, how can I fix this I really need more than the default 5 categoies. I need categories like foodblogMember, sideline, Dowline, BioCorporate, and probably more.

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
