I have the same problem with (KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.8" , openSUSE 10.2) Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8-0.9-default Compiler Target: i586-suse-linux Playing a video with xine, noatun, kaffeine or mplayer, sometimes crash X, kill all programs and goes to the kdm login screen. I have an ATI Radeon X1300 128Mb with the official ATI display driver version 8.45.4. Regards Oscar KDE does not develop the X server. ...I tried also VLC. And my player just closed with message about bad memory allocation in X... without crashing a system. When I turned off the SHADOWS and TRANSPARENCY in personal settings my video players working again. |
