Version:           1.9.6 (enterprise 0.20071123.740460) (using 3.5.8, compiled sources)
Compiler:          Target: i586-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.12-desktop-1mdv

Actually it does nothing. But marking threads works.

It happens since I have upgrade from KDE 3.5.7 to KDE 3.5.8.

Please try a recent SVN version, there have been some fixes in message status handling lately.
