Description Saurav Sarkar 2008-02-08 09:14:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

The task manager icons in KDE4 (version 4.0.1 in Ubuntu) often show no icons (only white text on black background) or garbled icons (rendering artifacts). It is very difficult to identify the applications in this situation witout opening each one in turn.

In the attched screenshot, only the icons for dolphin, firefox, adept, opera and konsole icons are visible. openoffice writer and spreadsheet icons are almoset invisible (some times they are completely invisible - it isn't even possible to know that they are running). Opera icon (icon with text Bug) is garbled.

Also the right click pop-up menu of plasma (desktop menu)often shows up as a garbled rectangular box with some random colored lines and then the menu options are shown after some time.
