Description Phillip Killewald 2008-02-07 21:29:33 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

There should be a way to contain the length of the title used in Konsole-2.0's tabs so that they don't take up the entire window's space. This is especially annoying when you set the title to whatever the application wants it to be, and that changes on occasion (see: Gentoo's emerge command). An option like "maximum tab width," or even a fixed tab width for all tabs would be preferable to having one tab take up all of the space available and being forced to use tab scroll buttons.

A reason why many people do not want to switch to KDE4. Fixed spaced tabs can simply be more clearly perceived (einfach übersichtlicher).
