Description Andrey 2008-02-06 17:17:29 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 4.2.2 (Gentoo 4.2.2 p1.0)
OS: Linux

When I try to google for some Russian keywords with Konqueror search bar, a Google search page is opened but the key word is written with "?" signs instead of normal letters. So, no real search results are returned.

There's some configuration available for search engines, I've set "UTF-8" as preferred charset everywhere. My system locale is ru_RU.UTF-8 too. This doesn't help.

Search bar works fine with English search terms. I'll provide a screenshot for a better explanation of the problem.

As we see, in the search bar there's a keyword "тест" which is Russian for
"test". And on the opened Google search results page we get only "????"
instead. On the foreground the dialog my with search options is opened.
