Version:           4.0 (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from:    MS Windows Binaries
OS:                MS Windows

Steps:
1. download kdewin-installer-gui-0.8.5.exe 
2. Run installer
3. confirm intallation path, etc
4. select packages
5. Press Next
Result: 
Packages downloaded
Then installer window does not show any activity 
All buttons except "About" and "Cancel" are disabled
6. Wait few hours, close installed window
Result:
\Bin does not contain all executables
Windows Event logs does not have error messages

should be fixed in the upcoming 0.8.6 version - also please attach kdewin-installer.log which can be found in the specified download directory
