This must be a bug because it does this on different platforms such as Linux. Just not on Windows. It doesn't work for me on linux, using svn trunk r863215. Yes, please, add this. At least when using the keyboard shortcut (defaults to Ctrl-L) As of dolphin 1.2 (KDE 4.2.0) there are actually two distinct shortcuts for this - F6 marks makes editable, and ctrl+l which only makes the location bar editable This behavior is not very intuitive since in most browsers the use ctrl+l (focus address bar) also selects the text and hence allows faster editing. I'm closing this issue to WORKSFORME, F6 behaves consistent with Firefox + Windows Explorer, Ctrl + L is a toggle switch for the breadcrumb + editable URL. If you want that Ctrl + L behaves like F6, please adjust your shortcuts in your environment. Thanks! |
